Tattoo Aftercare

Congrats on your new ink! Now let’s make sure it heals perfectly with these easy steps. Stick to this, and your tattoo will be looking fresh for years to come!

  • Keep It Clean (and Moist, Not Sloppy)
Gently wash your tattoo with a fragrance-free body wash—preferably something gentle and mild. Do this 2-3 times a day, then pat dry with a clean towel.

  • Lotion Up, But Don’t Overdo It
Apply a fragrance-free lotion (no scented stuff!) to keep your tattoo moisturized. Just a thin, even layer—over-lotioning can clog pores and lead to irritation. Your skin needs to breathe too, so don’t over-do it!

  • No Swimming for 3–4 Weeks
This is a big one! No swimming in pools, oceans, lakes, or rivers for the first 3–4 weeks. If it’s not a shower, keep your tattoo dry to avoid infection or fading. No exceptions!

  • No Sunbathing for 3–4 Weeks
Your tattoo is like a little sun-sensitive baby right now. Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3–4 weeks. That means no tanning, no beach days, and definitely no sunburns—it’ll fade your ink faster and hurt like crazy.

  • Scratching Is a No-Go
We know it itches, but don’t scratch or pick at it. Scratching can damage your tattoo and lead to scarring. If it’s itching, gently tap or slap it—it’ll be better than the alternative.

Keep it clean, hydrated, and sun-free.

Your skin is the biggest organ on your body. So don’t stress it out more, it went through trauma in the name of art!
